Dictate · With your voice

“Let’s make something worth talking about.”

Speak naturally. Your words become text in the app you’re already using.

Illustrative examples. Speech works in every configuration.

04 / Studio

Keep working
on the idea.

Creation is the beginning. Studio is where you select, layer, edit, and take the work further—with chat or voice.

Explore Studio ↗

Select. Then direct.

SAM3-driven selections turn subjects into editable layers. Tell Studio what to change.

Work beyond the still.

Carry your creative work into video, 3D, and Gaussian splats.

Keep the conversation going.

Use chat or speech throughout. Your voice belongs in every configuration.

05 / Develop

Your Mac.
Your building blocks.

Local inference, APIs, and tools for the software you build. Use the interface—or connect your own.

Explore MCP tools ↗

Local inference

06 / Automate

From one request
to a workflow.

Pro and Studio give you capabilities. Max brings automation to selected capabilities across both.

Speaking is part of every configuration. Max is about automating the work—not unlocking your voice.

Good to know

Questions,
answered.

Find what fits your Mac
Does ModelPiper work offline?

Yes. ToolPiper can run supported local models, speech, vision, and Mac actions on your device after the required models are installed. Choose local configurations for offline work. Model downloads, cloud providers, web tools, account services, and other online features need a network connection. Availability depends on the operation you choose.

Which models are bundled with ModelPiper?

The engines ship with the app, not the weights. ToolPiper bundles the llama.cpp Metal runtime, Apple Intelligence, speech-to-text, and MLX Audio text-to-speech. Models install in one click from a curated library of GGUF LLMs, vision models, and TTS voices, and any GGUF model you supply also works.

How much does ModelPiper Pro cost?

Pro is $10/mo. Free is the engine, the MCP host and your voice: the llama.cpp engine, unlimited model downloads, a local OpenAI-compatible API, any MCP server you install, and all speech. Pro adds our own tools: browser automation, files and Git, the clipboard cache, local RAG, web scraping, the live market and the cloud proxy.

Which macOS versions does ModelPiper support?

ToolPiper requires macOS 26 or later on Apple Silicon — an M1 chip or newer. Inference runs on the Metal GPU and the Apple Neural Engine, so Apple Silicon is a requirement rather than a recommendation. The modelpiper.com web app runs in any modern browser, on any operating system.

Does any of my data leave my Mac?

Local inference processes your inputs on your Mac. If you choose a cloud provider or an online tool, the data needed for that request goes to that service. Model downloads, account services, and optional benchmark publishing also use the network. Choose local models and tools when your work needs to stay on-device.

How do I connect ModelPiper to Claude Code or another MCP client?

Run claude mcp add --transport http toolpiper http://127.0.0.1:9998/mcp, or install the plugin: claude plugin marketplace add ModelPiper/toolpiper, then claude plugin install toolpiper@modelpiper. The MCP server ships inside the app over streamable HTTP on loopback, so there is no separate binary. Cursor, Devin, and any other streamable-HTTP client connect to the same URL.

Can I use ModelPiper with my existing OpenAI or Ollama tooling?

Yes. ModelPiper serves a local OpenAI-compatible API, so anything already pointed at OpenAI or Ollama works after you change the base URL. You can also bring your own Anthropic, OpenAI, or Groq keys and route them through the Pro cloud proxy, which stores every key in the macOS Keychain.
