Requirements · Updated 2026-10-15Supported versions and system requirements
ToolPiper runs on Apple Silicon Macs, M1 or later. Beta 10 needs macOS 26 or later, and Beta 11 will need macOS 27. It is tested in Google Chrome and Brave, the current stable release and the one before it. Older browsers are not supported.
How is ToolPiper tested?
Apple Silicon (M1 or later). Intel Macs are not supported. Each release names the macOS it requires, so ToolPiper can build on Apple's newest on-device AI frameworks. The minimum moves forward between betas, and every move is announced before it ships.
ToolPiper is tested only in Chromium browsers: Google Chrome and Brave, the current stable release and the one before it. Older browsers are not supported. A bug that appears only in an older browser may never be fixed, so keep your browser up to date.
The browser tools drive Chrome through its remote debugging switch, so they need Chrome 144 or later. MediaPiper is also available for Firefox and Safari, but it is tested only in Chromium browsers, so a bug there may not be fixed.
