What is ModelPiper?
ModelPiper is a visual AI pipeline builder. Use it live in your browser at modelpiper.com, or run it offline inside ToolPiper. ToolPiper is a macOS app that runs as an AI server on your Mac — bundled inference, OpenAI-compatible API, MCP server, voice, vision, browser automation, all on-device. ToolPiper powers ModelPiper's local features, but it's also an open backend: point any app, agent, or script at it and build whatever you want. Seriously, anything.
Does my data stay on my Mac?
Yes. Local models run fully on-device, with no network round-trip. When you connect cloud APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Groq), your keys are stored in the macOS Keychain and requests go directly from your Mac to the provider. We never see your prompts, responses, or keys.
What's free, and what's Pro?
Free is the whole local model runner: the native llama.cpp engine, unlimited model downloads, multi-model switching, the local OpenAI-compatible API with embeddings, transcription, the visual pipeline builder, all 300+ MCP tools, and the companion apps (VisionPiper, AudioPiper, MediaPiper). No account required. Pro ($10/mo) adds what no model runner does: push-to-talk dictation, text-to-speech, Apple Intelligence, local RAG over your files, and all nine inference backends.
What models can I run?
Anything llama.cpp supports (Llama, Qwen, Gemma, Mistral, and more) plus Apple Intelligence on supported Macs and any OpenAI-compatible cloud provider. ToolPiper filters the model catalog by your Mac's available memory so you only see models that'll actually run on your hardware.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Pro is a monthly or annual subscription with no commitment. Cancel from your Apple ID subscriptions (System Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions) or the Stripe Customer Portal when web checkout ships. You keep access through the end of the billing period.
